Scentsy Story
Hi, I’m Mary — wife, mother of three grown children, proud grandmother of five, dog and cat owner, list-maker, flag lover, and Scentsy Consultant.
I discovered Scentsy completely by accident one night during COVID. I was unemployed at the time and searching for a work-from-home opportunity when I came across Scentsy. Ironically, the very next day, my daughter called and asked if she could borrow $99 to join a direct sales business.
It was Scentsy.
Being a mom, I gave her the money to join instead of using it for myself. I ended up joining a different direct sales company and worked that business for five years. But since Scentsy had technically been my investment through my daughter, I bought from her and supported her business. She eventually realized direct sales was not her cup of tea, but I kept loving the products.
Three years later, I found myself still buying the wax, loving the warmers, and thinking the fan diffusers were the best thing ever. Scentsy had stayed on my heart, and in November 2023, I finally joined for myself.
For me, Scentsy is more than fragrance. It is a way to build something meaningful from home, connect with people, and create income while still being present for the people I love most. As a mom and grandmother, one of my biggest goals was to be able to spend time with my grandbabies while still getting paid.
Working from home has its benefits — and one of my favorite benefits is being able to create memories with my family. Once a year, the whole crew — my hubby, our grown children, their spouses, and all five grandbabies — goes on vacation to Jekyll Island, my happy place.
A little fun fact about me: my family calls me a “flag freak.” They are not wrong. I have more than 40 American flags or Americana decorations in some form throughout my home. I love red, white, and blue, and I love anything that feels like home, family, freedom, and tradition.
I am also the type of person who loves to make a list… and then run completely off the cuff to get things done. That is just me — organized chaos, a full heart, and usually a plan that changes halfway through.
